I didn’t realise that having your name as a co-author on the paper was so important to you. I had always thought of you as being genuinely interested in your patients rather than a mere career psychiatrist.

With this attitude I find it surprising that you offered to have an intern. Do you think you will be the right type of mentor for this girl, Melissa Motti? Her paperwork came across my desk today and of course I’ll be observing you and her.

If you wish me to pursue the matter then I will see what I can do. Although at this stage in your career it might not be wise to upset the administrators of the Psychiatric Congress. But you obviously deem it necessary.

I see on the roster you are away this weekend. We can discuss early next week.
